With cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa producing it and Khatija Rahman composing the music, Halitha Shameem's Minmini promises to be a poignant coming-of-age story.
We had earlier reported that director Halitha Shameem is working on her directorial titled Minmini. The makers on Wednesday released the trailer of the film, along with revealing the release date. The film is all set to hit big screens on August 9.
Those, who have been following director Halitha Shameem's work, might have been familiar with her upcoming dream project titled Minmini. In fact, the director had begun shooting the film in 2015 with a young cast and had waited for seven long years for the cast to grow up and resume the shooting once again so that they could reprise their roles. Actors Esther Anil, Gaurav Kaalai and Pravin Kishore are part of the cast.
The makers on Wednesday held an audio and trailer launch event, unveiling the film’s album and trailer of the film. The trailer begins with a movie being screened for a group of people, as we flash back to two students who take a ride to the mountains. We are introduced to two young people, an aspiring painter and a girl, who take up many travels. We are also shown mountainous landscapes, as many strangers come and go into their lives. We are also shown glimpses of a trip to the Himalayas. The trailer ends with a release date note.
Minmini is a coming-of-age film that follows two youngsters who carry survivors’ guilt. Halitha Shameem has also written the film. It is set to hit big screens on August 9. The trailer has stirred enough curiosity about the film and how the director has approached the concept.
Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, who shot the film, has also produced it along with Murali Krishnan. Khatija Rahman has scored the music. Raymond Derrick Crasta is its editor. The makers have released the album of the song, which is available on YouTube.
