Actor-musician GV Prakash's next project, which will have debutant Nikesh at the helm, has been titled Rebel. Produced jointly by Gnanavel Raja and CV Kumar under the banners Studio Green and Thirukumaran Entertainment respectively, the film has Arun Krishnan cranking the camera and Leo John Paul handling editing.
Rugger Ram has choreographed action scenes for the movie which was launched earlier today by acclaimed filmmaker Pa Ranjith. An excited GV took to Twitter to share the excitement of having associated with two leading producers in the movie. He tweeted, "My next starts with a Pooja today. #Rebel @StudioGreen2's #ProductionNo24 with @icvkumar #Rebel Debutant director @nikeshRs (sic)."
The video of Ranjith clapping the clapperboard during the project's launch has been going viral on social media. Nikesh has earlier worked as an associate director in projects like Kazhugu, 1945 and Bellbottom. Like a few films of his, GV Prakash himself will compose music for Rebel.
All geared up for the release of Sathish Selvakumar's Bachelor on Friday, GV has Jail directed by Vasanthabalan, too, hitting the screens on December 9. Mathi Maran's Selfie, in which he will be sharing screen space with Gautham Menon for the first time, is another movie of his which is ready.
An announcement on the cast and crew of Rebel is expected to happen soon. Meanwhile, it is heard that GV has been roped in as the music director for three movies which have Suriya in the lead. Vetri Maaran's Vaadivasal Sudha Kongara's untitled project and Bala's yet-to-be-titled movie will have the young musician-turned-actor composing music.
