GV Prakash; Venky Atluri with Dulquer Salmaan
Venky Atluri's bilingual film Vaathi (Sir in Telugu), starring Dhanush in the titular role, was one of the hit films of this year. The project bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments starred Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani, Saikumar and Sumanth among others in key roles.

The makers announced after a few weeks of its release in February that the movie earned around 120 crores from across the globe. It is also considered as the highest earner in Dhanush's career. The director and producer announced recently that the duo is teaming up for another film.
Dulquer Salmaan is playing the lead in the untitled project which is being planned as a pan Indian outing. The makers announced that they will be announcing more details in sometime. They have now informed that GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for the film. The announcement comes on the occasion of the musician-turned-actor's birthday falling today.
The tweet from the production house read, "Welcoming the Enchanting Composer @gvprakash onboard for another BLOCKBUSTER Collaboration (sic)." This is the first Dulquer-starrer to have music from the National Award winning musician.
He currently has the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru, Japan, Thangalaan and Captain Miller and a few projects in his kitty. Idimuzhakkam and Kalvan are some of the films which feature him in leading roles that are awaiting releases. His last project as a composer was the recently released Kathar Basha Endra Muthuramalingam.

Vaathi, Rudhran and Kaadhal Enbadhu Kannula Heart Irukkura Emoji from the Amazon Prime series Modern Love Chennai were his outings this year.
