GV Prakash gives an update on Thanglaan; says it will be ‘unique and special’

Thangalaan, starring actor Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role, is one of the most-anticipated films this year. With the film nearing its completion, music composer GV Prakash, who is scoring music for the film, gave an update about it. Thangalaan is directed by Pa Ranjith and it is the first time that GV Prakash and the director are working together.

Recently, GV Prakash Kumar took to X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that Thangalaan's background score is in progress. He added that it will be something "very unique and special." He also added that a "new voicing style" is there and that he is excited to show all of them.

The makers of Thangalaan have left no stone unturned in giving sneak peaks from the film now and then, despite the film yet to get a release date. Recently, on the occasion of Vikram’s birthday, the team released a glimpse of the making of the film, which was paired up with unique beats and a background score. With Thangalaan, Pa Ranjith has gone out to experiment with new collaborators. While it will be his first time working with GV Prakash, the project also marks his maiden venture with Vikram. The film also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy and others.
Thangalaan is backed by Studio Green and Jio Cinema. A release date for the film has yet to be announced by the makers. The film is a period action drama set against the backdrop of Kolar Gold Fields of Karnataka.

Vikram’s next with SU Arunkumar
After Thanglaan, Vikram will be pairing up with Chittha fame director SU Arunkumar for a film titled Veera Dheera Sooran. The makers recently released the teaser for the film, hinting that the second part of the film will come out first. Veera Dheera Sooran also stars Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, Siddique, and Malayalam actor Suraj Venjaramoodu in pivotal roles in the film.
