Guruvayoorambala Nadayil Box Office Day 1 – Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph’s film has reportedly surpassed the opening Kerala collection of Fahadh Faasil’s recent blockbuster Aavesham.
Guruvayoorambala Nadayil Box Office Collection Day 1: The family entertainer, which features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph in the lead roles, has opened to highly positive reviews. The movie, which is helmed by Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey's director Vipin Das, has been winning hearts with its exceptional performances and humour. As per the recent updates, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil has surpassed the opening day collection of Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham at the Kerala box office.
According to the latest reports from trade experts, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil has made a total box office collection of around Rs. 3.8 crore at the Kerala box office alone on its first day at the theatres. Thus, the movie has surpassed the opening day collection of Aavesham, the blockbuster action-drama released in April 2024. For the uninitiated, the Fahadh Faasil starrer had collected Rs. 3.5 crore from the Kerala box office on its release day. The worldwide collection of the Vipin Das directorial has reportedly crossed the Rs. 7.5 crore mark.
Guruvayoorambala Nadayil has now emerged as the third biggest box office opener from Malayalam cinema in 2024, after Mohanlal’s Malaikottai Vaaliban and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s previous release, Aadujeevitham. The Lijo Jose Pellissery directorial, which featured the veteran superstar in the titular role, collected Rs. 5.85 crore on its first day at the Kerala box office. The Blessy film, on the other hand, made around Rs. 5.83 crore on its release day. Interestingly, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil has also emerged as the second all-time biggest opener in the career of its leading man, Prithviraj.
The excellent reviews, word-of-mouth publicity, and increasing audience rush confirm that Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is set to have an extraordinary weekend at the box office. The Vipin Das film, one of the very few well-made family entertainers released post-pandemic, has received around 100+ extra shows across the state on its second day. In that case, it is safe to assume that the Prithviraj Sukumaran-Basil Joseph film will cross the Rs. 10 crore mark today and the Rs. 15 crore mark within the first 3 days of its release.
