Guntur Kaaram, the action-packed family entertainer that stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role, has been one of the most-awaited Telugu films of 2024. The movie, which is helmed by hitmaker Trivikram Srinivas, has finally hit theatres today (January 12, 2024) as Mahesh Babu’s first release of the year. When it completed the initial shows, Guntur Kaaram received mixed to positive reviews from Telugu cinema audiences, who have always loved the action-packed mass entertainers.

Netizens call Guntur Kaaram a ‘perfect entertainer’

The Mahesh Babu starrer has been receiving immense love from both the Telugu superstar’s fans and common audiences, who call it his ‘one-man’ show. Netizens suggest that the movie presented the popular actor in a refreshing, fun avatar after a very long gap. Sreeleela, one of the leading ladies of Guntur Kaaram, has also been receiving praise for her dance numbers and comedy timing. However, cinegoers feel that Meenakshi Chaudhary was wasted in an inconsequential role.

However, quite a few viewers suggest that Trivikram Srinivas’s magical touch is missing in Guntur Kaaram, which ended up being an average attempt. A few of them also mentioned how Thaman has disappointed with his strictly average tunes and pointed out that the music composer has reached his saturation point. The rest of the star cast, however, has been receiving praise for their respective parts very well, even though none of the supporting characters were well fleshed out.

If things proceed at the same rate, the Mahesh Babu starrer helmed by Trivikram Srinivas has all the chances to make a Rs 30 crore plus opening at the worldwide box office on Day 1. It is also confirmed that an extraordinary first-weekend collection is on the cards for the film, considering the Makar Sankranti holiday season.
