Guntur Kaaram, the third collaboration between Mahesh Babu and writer-director Trivikram is gearing up for release on January 12. Sreeleela and Meenakshii Chaudhary play the female leads in the actioner produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika and Hassine Creations. The theatrical trailer of the film was released this evening at 9.09 pm.

The trailer begins with a press conference where a woman is asked the reason behind distancing the elder son from her family. Before she justifies it, we’re introduced to a ruffian, a goon named Ramana. Mahesh Babu gets to say crowd pleasing lines like ‘Mazaa occhinda..heart beat periginda..eela veyyali anipinchinda..’ And his focus shifts to a man Paani and his daughter Sreeleela.

He falls for Sreeleela instantly, who remains wary of his advances. Ramana later comments about a woman’s torn jeans, to which Eswari Rao asks if he seeks to do an aarti appreciating her beauty. The glimpse showcases Mahesh Babu’s action avatar and a few shots featuring the second lead Meenakshii Chaudhary as Raji, Jagapathi Babu, Rahul Ravindran, Ajay Gosh, Rao Ramesh and others.

Prakash Raj is seen as a patriarch and calls Ramana as a ‘lorry without a break’. Ramana is soon disappointed how he couldn’t spend his childhood with his mother and is getting to face the music now. Guntur Kaaram may be red-hot and spicy, but it has the ability to induce tears too, the trailer ends with a voiceover. The film is a tale of a dysfunctional family with a heavy dose of action, romance.

S Thaman scores the music for the film while Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer. Navin Nooli is the editor and AS Prakash is the production designer respectively. The film’s streaming rights have been bagged by the OTT giant Netflix.
