Four major platforms have bagged the rights of the Sankranthi releases and all films are expected to premiere in February
All the four Telugu films that are slated for a Sankranthi release in 2024 are as diverse as chalk and cheese. If Guntur Kaaram is a family entertainer, Saindhav promises to be a feast for action junkies. HanuMan gears up to transport you into a fictitious universe with a mythological twist and Naa Saami Ranga is much like comfort food - rural entertainer catered to the masses.

Guntur Kaaram - Netflix
Sithara Entertainments and Haarika and Hassine Creations have signed a multi-film deal with Netflix year and much like their 2023 releases (Sir, Mad and Aadikeshava), Guntur Kaaram will also land on Netflix. Directed by Trivikram, the film brings together Mahesh Babu, Meenakshii Chaudhary, Sreeleela. Expect an OTT release by mid-February.
HanuMan - ZEE5
The Teja Sajja starrer closed a deal with the ZEE group for its television and satellite rights nearly a year and a half before. While the budget of the film has escalated ever since, ZEE5’s global reach should help the mythological fantasy get its due among a wider group of audiences. Directed by Prasanth Varma, the film also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Vinay Rai.

Saindhav - ETV Win
Perhaps, the biggest film that ETV Win, the platform owned by Eenadu group, has acquired to date, Saindhav is expected to arrive digitally by the end of February. The reach of the streamer is expected to increase by a huge margin with Saindhav’s acquisition. Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the film stars Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath, Arya, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ruhani Sharma and others.
Naa Saami Ranga - Disney+ Hotstar
The Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Porinju Mariam Jose, Naa Saami Ranga marks the directorial debut of choreographer Vijay Binni. Nagarjuna, Raj Tarun, Allari Naresh, Ashika Ranganath, Rukshar Dhillon, Mirnaa form the lead cast of the rural entertainer whose OTT rights were bagged by Disney+ Hotstar for a good price.
