The teaser for the Netflix show Guns & Gulaabs shown on the OTT app makes its 1990s setting abundantly clear. If you caught a glimpse of Gulshan Devaiah in it, you could notice that, with his hair styled somewhat longer than usual, he bears a striking similarity to one of the most popular performers in Bollywood at the time. According to reports, Sanjay Dutt's look from the 1990s had a significant influence on Gulshan's attire.

A production insider explained that the series is set in the 1990s, when the Sanjay Dutt craze was at its peak and many people started adapting it. The group debated whether there was a more effective approach to evoking the decade of the 1990s. Gulshan proposed the concept, and he was eager to adopt the style himself. He made it look like second nature.

Raj and DK wrote and directed the comic crime thriller Guns and Gulaabs. The setting is the violent and criminal 1990s. Leading actors in the series include Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, and TJ Bhanu.

The popular director duo will also run and direct the Netflix comedic criminal drama Guns & Gulaabs which is about love and innocence in a world of crime and a nostalgic narrative of all types of firsts, from first love to first kill.

In a statement, Raj and DK said that Netflix has always been ahead of the curve, providing viewers with innovative programming. They are ecstatic to have them as a partner in their current endeavour. Their debut Netflix series, Guns & Gulaabs has been a success, and they are excited to expand their team for future episodes. They are extremely proud to release this innovative mash-up of genres, which features outstanding American actors and filmmakers.

Meanwhile, Gulshan, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Rohan Mathew are all in London for the Ulajh shoot. Sudhanshu Saria, who received a national award for his work as a director, based the movie on the work of the Indian Foreign Service.
