It was recently announced that Santhanam's next release will be Gulu Gulu, which has been directed by Rathna Kumar of Meyaadha Maan (streaming on Zee5) fame. The title and motion poster of the film was unveiled recently. Billed as a madcap entertainer, the movie will have Santhanam playing a tourist.

The two-minute motion poster of the project hinted at the film's genre; the comic caper revolves around the funny incidents that happen in the life of the protagonist who experiences a roller-coaster ride. Namita Krishnamurthy and Athulya Chandra play female leads in the film which has Pradeep Rawat, Mariyam George, Sai Dheena, Lollu Sabha Maaran and Lollu Sabha Seshu essaying key roles.

The makers have now revealed that Santhanam has started dubbing for the project. Rathna himself came up with the update and posted a picture of the actor who is seen dubbing for the movie in a studio. Santhosh Narayanan is composing music for the film. Gulu Gulu is the second film which has Santhanam and Santhosh teaming up after Parris Jeyaraj (streaming on MX Player and Jio Cinema) which released earlier last year.

Produced by Raj Narayanan, the movie has cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by Philomin Raj. Don Ashok and Hari Dinesh have choreographed action scenes for the project which has art direction by Jacki.

Santhanam, who was last seen in Sabhaapathy (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), has Manoj Beedha's Agent Kannayiram, too, in his kitty. The film is a remake of Tollywood hit Agent Sai Srinivas Atreya.

Meanwhile, director Rathna is now eagerly waiting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's multi-starrer project Vikram in which he has written dialogues. The two had earlier joined hands for Master (streaming on Amazon Prime Video).
