Gujarati actor Jahnvi Chauhan’s upcoming film with Hardik Shah is a love triangle in Bollywood style

Jahnvi plays Meghna in the film, which she has described to be like a Bollywood romance.

Popular Gujarati actor Jahnvi Chauhan is busy shooting in Manali for the upcoming project by Hardik Shah. She opened up about the-as-of-yet untitled film to Etimes, saying that this is the first time in her career so far that she has landed a character that is ‘synonymous’ with her personality.

The actor shared that so far, she has been either cast as the ‘antagonist or a stunning bold woman’, but she is just the opposite as a person and her character Meghna is closest to her real self. "I am extremely, what you can call, 'Indian' wearing kurtas, Jhumkas, and bindis and loving that feeling,” she said.

Jahnvi Chauhan further described the plot to be a ‘love triangle that ends in a proper Bollywood romance format.’ She mentioned the Rajshree Productions’ hit family-drama Hum Saath Saath Hain, and how she has wanted to do a quintessential ‘filmy movie’, with the slow-motion breeze swaying the heroine’s dupatta and the leads madly in love having a fairytale-like happy ending. With this film, her wish to have that commercial Bollywood-like romance is fulfilled. “It is filled with masala, romance, family, action, and everything great," she added.

She went on to appreciate the cast of the film. Mamta Soni, Dharmesh Vyas and Khanjan Thummar are in the film, with Thummar paired opposite her in the lead role. The film marked her first collaboration with the actors, getting her especially excited to share screen space with them. She added that as a Maharashtrian and an ‘outsider,’ she has been in the Gujarati film industry for three years, and has always tried to build a great rapport with her co-stars for their chemistry to come through in the film. “I wish to make a great camaraderie with the stars and can vouch that this would be one of the best projects of my career.”
