Hi Adinath! What does the festival ‘Gudi Padwa' mean to yo u?
Gudi Padwa is our New Year and it is a very special day. We get up early on the day of Padwa and then, I work out. After that, I read books, spend time with family and go to work. We try to do all the good things on Padwa so that you continue it throughout the year.

Can you tell us the significance of Gudi Padwa in your life?
Gudi Padwa is very special for me because it is also my grandfather's birthday. And this Gudi Padwa is very emotional for me because my grandfather just passed away a month back and it's his birthday today. We are missing him terribly.
What are your fond memories related to the festival?
My fond memory of Gudi Padwa is spending time with family every year we place the auspicious Gudi at our place and it is a very special thing. Besides the festival, I also cherish all the films that I have been a part of. Of late, it was Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer '83.

What are the rituals involved?
I love to do those rituals that my mother tells me or my family tells me. Because, the rituals are done in my family since years and it's really beautiful.
Since it's an extremely traditional day, can we see you wearing the traditional attire?
Yes, I am wearing a kurta today. That’s good enough a traditional attire for me.
Has anyone gifted you anything on Gudi Padwa? If yes, then what?
I don't remember any such Gudi Padwa gifts. But, I bought my first car SUV 5-6 years back on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. That means a lot to me.
Have you gifted anything to anyone on Gudi Padwa? If yes, then what?
Yes, I have bought gold for my family as we buy gold today.
What do you do if you are away from your home during the festival?
Work is also God for each one of us. When we travel for work, I do miss my family. But, we have to be grateful that we are working.
If you had to make a wish on Gudi Padwa for you or anyone in your life, what would that be and for whom would you wish?
I would wish for my daughter Jiza. I really wish and pray to God that, may all her dreams come true.
