Grammy winner David Foster and Katharine McPhee to become grandparents again!

Lovebirds David Foster and Katharine McPhee will be grandparents soon, with this being the former's eighth grandchild. Foster himself had welcomed his sixth son Rennie, in February 2021, with McPhee.

Canadian musical expert David Foster, 74, and his wife Katharine McPhee, 39, are set to welcome the former’s eighth grandchild. Foster’s daughter Erin made her pregnancy public by sharing a cute photo with husband Simon Tikhman.

Captioned, “It feels like we need something positive right now, so I’d like to offer something. I’m pregnant,” the picture featured a grinning Simon Tikhman roughing it up by sitting carefree on the lawn, while Erin stood in comfortable, loose clothes, flaunting a big baby bump.

The happy news was received with great pomp and joy by all her friends and well wishers. Stepsister Gigi Hadid commented, “YAY!!” while close friend Claire Holt wrote, “OMG!!!!!! I’m so happy for you!!!!” along with half a dozen teary-eyed emoji. Courtney Cox expressed her joy, “Erin!! I am so happy for you two!! This is the best news ever.”

Jennifer Garner was elated, “Erin!!! Such welcome, happy news!! Congratulations!” Katy Perry, on the other hand, noted the expecting momma’s truth, “Your angel is here” with a heart emoji. Amy Griffin, for her part, could not stop her tears, “Can’t stop crying. Can’t stop smiling. Over the moon happy for you guys. You will no doubt be the best parents ever!”

Though the lucky grandparents have not posted any updates yet, this baby will be David Foster’s cherished eighth grandchild, as the latter himself welcomed his sixth child, son Rennie, in 2021, with his fifth and current wife, Katharine McPhee.

The two had met when McPhee was only a contestant on American Idol and Foster was a guest mentor, as early as 2006. However, both remained friends and got married to other people. Only after both Katharine and David had separated from their respective partners did the two begin dating, in 2017. The rest is history, as the two tied the knot in 2019 and have been happily together ever since.
