The music sensation Billie Eilish bagged her historic ninth win in the Best Song of the Year for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie song along with contributor Finneas Baird O'Connell for “What Was I Made For?” A musical celebration of talent, creativity, and recognition for the deserving artists was witnessed on Sunday night in Los Angeles. Billie Eilish, who is renowned for her soulful voice, is now one step closer to her Oscar win. She nodded for best song after the new win after defeating Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, and other strong contenders.

The young singer-songwriter continued to rack up prestigious honors under her name after the iconic win for her Barbie song What Was I Made For in the coveted category at only 22 years of age. Eilish grabbed the honor against the formidable likes of other established fellow nominees Taylor Swift, SZA, Miley Cyrus, Lana Del Rey, Jon Batiste, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo vying for the win.

Lionel Richie presented the honor to the winners, Billie Eilish and Finneas Baird O'Connell. “Wow, oops, yikes, oh my god. Damn, that’s stupid!” Billie Eilish expressed her overwhelming response as she took home the coveted golden gramophone. She accompanied brother and musician Finneas Baird O'Connell to the stage and thanked the director, Greta Gerwig, for bringing "Best Movie” to the screen in her acceptance speech. The lovely singer also celebrated her fellow nominees in her winning speech and dubbed them “incredible people” with “incredible talent."

Decked up in baggy clothes and her signature goggles, Billie Eilish sported a black and pink jacket with Barbie engrossed in it. “Thanks to my brother, who is my best friend in the world and makes me the person I am today. Thank you to Greta Gerwig for making the best movie of the year,” Billie Eilish added.

Finneas Baird O'Connell, who also contributed to the popular soundtrack, recognized being a part of the iconic film and expressed gratitude in his humble speech.

Eilish also performed a soulful rendition of Barbie’s top charting song, “What Was I Made For?" backed by the magical piano from brother Finneas.

Billie Eilish received five nods, including record of the year, best pop solo performance, and best music video. The brother-sister duo also won a Grammy for the best song written for visual media.

Meanwhile, an extravagant musical evening took place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and is broadcast live on CBS and Paramount Plus. Taylor Swift, who won her 13th Grammy and is also the first female to win four album of the year Grammys, set the standard for excellence.
