Govinda Naam Mera: Ranbir Kapoor has cameo in THIS song of Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kiara Advani starrer

Previously, Ranbir Kapoor made a cameo in Vicky Kaushal's film Love Per Square Foot.

Ranbir Kapoor was most recently seen in Karan Malhotra's period drama Shamshera and Ayan Mukerji's grandiose sci-fi superhero saga Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva earlier this year. However, it has now been revealed that the actor will not be featured in only two films this year.

According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir will have a small role in the movie Govinda Naam Mera which will be released by Dharma Productions soon. In particular, he will appear in the song Bijli, which is a dance routine featuring Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.

The makers recently released the song online; however, they did not reveal Ranbir's part as they kept it a surprise for the fans.

Interestingly, this isn't the first time Ranbir has appeared in a Vicky Kaushal film. He did the same in Love Per Square Foot in 2018, when Vicky was still a relatively new actor. Ranbir has also appeared in the films PK by Rajkumar Hirani and Bucket List by Madhuri Dixit. Ranbir and Vicky have worked together before, in the 2015 film Bombay Velvet which was directed by Anurag Kashyap, and in Hirani's blockbuster biopic Sanju, which came out in 2018.

Vicky had already told the Free Press Journal why he chose Govinda Naam Mera when he talked to them earlier. The actor said that it's always the script for him. He always thinks about how he will like it from the audience's point of view. Vicky would either appreciate it or not if he took two to three hours out of his life. Then there's the character and how much freedom he will have to act. After URI: A Surgical Strike and Sardar Udham Vicky was looking for a film like Govinda Naam Mera. He has been doing some serious work lately, so he needed to exhibit this part of me as well.

Govinda Naam Mera which also stars Bhumi Pednekar and was directed by Shashank Khaitan, will be on Disney+ Hotstar starting December 16.
