Gossip Girl fans - rejoice! HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot is all set to premiere in July and the showrunners have given fans something to look forward to. The release of a new first look image has left fans decoding what part each character is going to play.
Based on the hit teen drama show and Cecily von Ziegesar’s novels, the reboot was announced in 2019. Just seven years after the original series ended, the new version will take place in the same posh locality of Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
Gossip Girl’s executive producer Joshua Safran is all set to direct the series with Josh Schwartz and Stephani Savage, who co-created the original series. Safran had previously stated that the new cast will be filled with more diverse characters and multiple storylines.
The newest glimpse in the Gossip Girl reboot features the large ensemble cast, donned in their school attire. The photo is supposed to be set on the campus of either of the show’s two elite private schools. The reboot image also features Emily Ayln Lind, Thomas Doherty, Eli Brown, Jordan Alexander, Savannah Lee Smith, Evan Mock and Zión Moreno.
Though the new image does not reveal anything significant, it has successfully hyped fans up. The first season of the reboot is set to take place ten years after Serena and Blair’s narrative. Kristen Bell has been signed on as the commentator who will keep the viewers updated with all the secrets.
