Every film has its own destiny in the industry. Gopichand, Nayanthara starrer Aaradugula Bullet (earlier titled Jaganmohan IPS) began filming in 2012 with director Boopathy Pandian at the helm. The filmmaker was eventually replaced by B Gopal, with the former opting out over creative differences with the team. While the shoot was wrapped up soon, the Thandra Ramesh-produced film was to hit theatres in 2017, when financial issues derailed its release plans. Nearly four years later, Aaradugula Bullet is confirmed to hit theatres on October 8. The film's trailer was out earlier today.

The trailer showcases Prakash Raj and Gopichand as father and son. The father is seen perennially whining about his good-for-nothing son and is even surprised that he has a girlfriend (Nayanthara) despite his inability to earn a single penny. The comical tone of the film makes way for the action segments when a goon whacks Prakash Raj and his on-screen son Gopichand comes to the rescue, teaching the baddies a lesson. Aaradugula Bullet, whose story is penned by Vakkantham Vamsi, is a true-blue commercial entertainer with action, emotion, humour, romance and music in the right proportion.

Telugu audiences have moved on from the staple action-comedies of the early 2010s and it's not surprising that Aaradugula Bullet seems slightly outdated and stale for the times. Filmmaker B Gopal's brand of entertainment is something that today's film-watching crowds are not familar with, but who knows? The film may work as a fond throwback to old-school mass entertainers and even attract audiences, especially after the impressive show put up by Gopichand's Seetimaarr.

Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Abhimanyu Singh play crucial roles in the film which has music by Mani Sharma and dialogues by Abburi Ravi. Cinematographer M Balamurugan and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao have also worked on the project.
