Gopichand signs his next Telugu film with director Sriwass

Sriwass and the actor had earlier collaborated for two major hits Lakshyam and Loukyam,

Telugu actor Gopichand is working hard to revive his career after a string of flops and has been on a film-signing spree over the last year. While he has already wrapped Sampath Nandhi's Kabaddi-based sports drama Seeti Maar alongside Tamannaah Bhatia, he's currently working on the courtroom comedy Pakka Commercial with Maruthi, an official remake of Akshay Kumar-starrer Jolly LLB 2. Now, he has signed a family entertainer with director Sriwass, who last directed Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas' Sakshyam.

Incidentally, Gopichand's project with Sriwass will be the 30th film in the actor's career. Their earlier collaborations, Lakshyam and Loukyam, were perfectly packaged entertainers that minted money at the ticket window. TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla of People Media Factory are bankrolling this film announced with a special poster earlier in the day, where the producers expressing their happiness to 'associate with the sensational hattrick combo' (of the director and actor). The family entertainer, whose female lead isn't finalised yet, will go on floors soon.

There were reports that the actor is keen to release Pakka Commercial in theatres ahead of his sports drama Seeti Maar. The producers are yet to take a call on the release date despite theatres being given a go-ahead to reopen across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Gopichand's earlier films Pantham, Oxygen and Goutham Nanda are streaming on MX Player.
