The film Goodbye, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, and Pavail Gulati, has been directed by Vikas Bahl.
In Mumbai on Tuesday, Rashmika Mandanna, who is getting ready to make her big Bollywood debut in Goodbye discussed her collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan. Big B, who just made a full recovery from Covid-19, was absent from the event but was present via video call. Rashmika spoke to the news outlet PTI about her first encounter with the legendary Amitabh.
She said, "I was standing and waiting for him, and Sir just walked in, crossed me and went. So I was like, 'ok, not now. This is not the time' because I was standing there, flashing a big smile... I thought he was thinking about the scene."
Rashmika went on to add,"Then I went to him and told him, 'Hi sir, I am Rashmika and I will be playing your daughter'. I was so nervous, it is such a huge responsibility working with such big actors. It is just good to get each other's energy on the first day."
Rashmika also mentioned how she felt Amitabh to be strict, but that their relationship finally improved as the movie began filming. She mentioned, "He was so strict, sitting there and then we started having a banter like a father and a daughter. Our relationship got closer and closer throughout the making of the film. He is a beautiful person, so I'm just happy that I got to see his side while working with him."
Vikas Bahl is the director of the film Goodbye which he also co-produced with Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Saraswati Entertainment, Viraj Sawant, and himself. Neena Gupta, Sunil Grover, Pavail Gulati, Ashish Vidyarthi, Elli AvrRam, Sahil Mehta, and Shivin Narang are among the other actors who appear in addition to Amitabh and Rashmika.
