Actress Keerthy Suresh’s long-delayed sports comedy Good Luck Sakhi is finally getting ready for a theatrical release on January 28. Marking the Telugu debut of popular filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, the film also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Ramaprabha and Rahul Ramakrishna in key roles. Sudheer Chandra Padiri has bankrolled the film under Worth A Shot Motion Arts. Shravya Varma is the co-producer of the same.
The film's trailer was launched today. The glimpse takes off with Jagapathi Babu confirming his intent to find the country's best shooters and train them for a major tournament. Keerthy Suresh is referred to as Bad Luck Sakhi by several people in her village and she is introduced to Jagapathi Babu as a promising talent. How Jagapathi Babu makes Keerthy Suresh realise her true potential and get her ready for the big stage forms the crux of the story.
While the villagers aren't exactly in approval of Sakhi's career in sports, the latter even disappoints with a poor result at a huge tournament. How does she spring a turnaround? The trailer is loaded with situational humour, romance and charts the inspiring journey towards her glory.Chirantan Das has cranked the camera for the film which has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
Aadhi's looks as a theatre artist performing mythological drama creates curiosity. Good Luck Sakhi is expected to have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Dil Raju is the presenter of the film.
