Good Luck Jerry trailer: A desperate Janhvi Kapoor takes up a dangerous line of work, and chaos ensues

Good Luck Jerry is inching closer to its release this month. The film will see Janhvi Kapoor in the titular role, essaying a character with more to her than meets the eye. The makers unveiled the trailer of the film recently, which gives a glimpse into Jerry’s chaotic life story.

The trailer sees Janhvi’s Jaya Kumari, aka Jerry, approach a man for a job. As the trailer progresses, we see just why she is desperate to find a job for herself, having to take care of her mother who has lung cancer. In her desperation, Jerry finds herself being a part of the drug trade. Needless to say, her already tumultuous life becomes all the more chaotic when she starts her new line of ‘work’. But there seems to be much more to Jerry than her innocent demeanour.

Sharing the trailer on her official social media, Janhvi captioned it “FINALLY! Miliye Jerry se. Aur yaad rakhiye- hum jitne dikhte hain, utne hain nahi”. In addition to Janhvi, Good Luck Jerry also features Deepak Dobriyal, Meeta Vashishth, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh in pivotal roles as well. Siddharth Sen has directed the film, which has been bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah, Aanand L. Rai and Mahaveer Jain. Pankaj Matta has written the film. The film was produced under the banners of Lyca Productions, Colour Yellow Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films.

The upcoming film is the Hindi remake of the 2018 Tamil film Kolamaavu Kokila, which starred Nayanthara in the lead along with Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan, R. S. Shivaji and Charles Vinoth. The Tamil film can be streamed on ZEE5.

Good Luck Jerry will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on July 29.

Janhvi was last seen in the horror comedy Roohi. Her upcoming releases include Rajkummar Rao’s Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, Varun Dhawan’s Bawaal and Mili.
