Taking to Instagram handle, the makers in a joint post with Dan Levy and Netflix, revealed the significant reasons behind the sentimental project.
The writer-director-actor behind Good Grief told Netflix the backstory of making this film. He said, “I had done this film because of some loss in my life in a meaningful way as the idea pop-ups with a proper way of grief. So in the process, I lost my grandmother and dog. This was my love letter to them. It was my catharsis. It was how I was able to work through it all. This love story about friendship and this exploration of grief ended up together in this idea that felt really important to tell.”
Good Grief is about the emotional healing along with friends to overcome the harsh realities while battling great loss in life.

Levy further explained in detail why friendships for him are significant with key traits of a ‘found family.’
