The latest reports suggest that John Abraham is in talks to play the antagonist in Ajith’s upcoming film Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran. Here are the details
‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar is all set to headline director Adhik Ravichandran’s next film, which is titled Good Bad Ugly. Although the actor is currently shooting for Vidaa Muyarchi, there have been several speculations doing the rounds on the internet pertaining to the cast of the film. The latest grapevine suggests that Bollywood actor John Abraham is in talks to play the main antagonist in the film.
Reports from Tamil publications suggest that the makers are keen on casting the Dhoom actor in the negative role. With John Abraham yet to make his Tamil debut, the speculations around the claim have spread widely among Thala fan pages. If everything goes according to the reports, John Abraham would make his grand Tamil acting debut with Ajith’s film.
Earlier it was reported that the upcoming Adhik Ravichandran directorial will rope in Bobby Deol to play the antagonist. However, the sources claim that the makers want a ‘new negative shade’ character to essay the role. Now with John Abraham’s name also doing the rounds, we must wait and see whom the producers will go for.
Director Adhik Ravichandran's previous outing Mark Antony was a successful period fantasy action-drama. He will now begin working with Ajith, whom he considers his idol. Good Bad Ugly is bankrolled by the Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers. It will mark Ajith’s first collaboration with the production house and director. The film is currently in its pre-production stage.

It comes as a surprise to nobody that Mark Antony director Adhik is an ardent Thala fan. He recently opened up about his upcoming project with his idol. “I had gotten the chance to spend time with sir (Ajith) while working in Nerkonda Paarvai and since then my life had reached a better place,” the director revealed. He also added that Ajith suggested that they do a project together but the director felt that he had not proved anything so far then. “But it was also the major reason to do Mark Antony, and the confidence sir gave me. When your idol pushes you so much with confidence, you ought to be strong,” he said.
Good Bad Ugly is set to go on floors in June and is eyeing a Pongal 2025 release.
