Golmaal 5 is indeed one of the most anticipated movies and it turns out Shreyas Talpade is now talking about the same.
While Singham Again is still fresh and the movie is part of the headlines, the world has already started to root for director Rohit Shetty’s next movie. The filmmaker has already confirmed that the next movie he works on is most probably Golmaal 5 because he wants a break from massive cop dramas. While the filmmaker only revealed this bit and nothing more, the curiosity amongst the fans has been piqued, and they want the makers to fast-track the project. Shreyas Talpade, who has been part of the cast for the franchise for a long while now, has now spoken about his interest in the fifth film and how he wants the OG cast to reunite for the fifth film in the franchise.
Shreyas is a recurring part of the Golmaal franchise alongside Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kemmu, and others. The actor, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama talked about working on the Golmaal franchise. Sanjay Mishra, who is also a part of the franchise, was also present during the interview. They called it a party or a paid vacation of sorts, working on the Golmaal films.
The actor emphasized the fact that they have a lot of fun making the Golmaal movies, and now he wants the OG cast to reunite for the fifth film. “In fact, we’re looking forward ke Golmaal 5 bhi bann jae and humlog sab wapas saath me kaam kare. (We’re looking forward to the making of Golmaal 5 so all of us can work together). So, let’s see when that happens,” Shreyas Talpade added.
Started in 2006, the four main pillars of the Golmaal franchise are Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Arshad Warsi. Apart from the four, many other actors, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Ratna Pathak Shah, Mithun Chakraborty, and others, have joined the franchise over the course of four movies. Namely Golmaal: Fun Unlimited Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again, these four movies have entertained the audience for close to two decades now.
So, the anticipation for the fifth film is not wrong. In his recent chat with Pinkvilla Rohit Shetty confirmed that he will be working on Golmaal 5 now because he wants to take a break after making a massive movie like Singham Again and focus on something lighter and comedic. “I think Golmaal will be the next film before any cop film. I am looking forward to making Golmaal after a big project like Singham. It is light and cheerful,” Rohit confirmed.
So, if Rohit Shetty begins working on Golmaal 5 right now, chances are we’ll get the movie in early 2026. Chances are also high that Shetty might want to mark Christmas 2025, but that is highly unlikely considering nothing is in place as of yet, or at least we do not know of.
