GoldFish release date announcement: Kalki Koechlin, Deepti Naval and Rajit Kapur star in Pushan Kripalani's directorial

The heartwarming story of Goldfish is presented in India by Anurag Kashyap.

Pushan Kripalani-directed critically acclaimed film Goldfish is all set to arrive in theatres soon. Starring Kalki Koechlin, Deepti Naval and Rajit Kapur, the upcoming slice-of-life movie talks about memory, music, mental health and identity.

Goldfish follows the tale of Kalki's character Anamika, who returns home to her estranged mother Sadhana (essayed by Deepti) because she is suffering from the onset of dementia. Ana returns to a neighbourhood she barely remembers, to a woman who sometimes doesn’t remember her.

Kalki shared the latest poster of the movie on her official Instagram handle with a special and emotional caption that reads, "The wait is almost over! I’m so excited that my film GoldFish will be swimming into theaters on August 25th! In theatres all over India! #GoldFishMovie #SplendidFilms (sic).

Talking about the movie, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is presenting the film in India, shared in a statement that he was moved after witnessing the heartwarming tale at the Busan International Film Festival. He also praised the writing, performances and direction of Goldfish.

The forthcoming flick, which also has international actors Bharti Patel, Gordon Warnecke, Ravin Ganatra and Shanaya Rafaat, marks Kalki's return to theatres after four years.

Produced by Splendid Films, Goldfish releases on August 25 in theatres.
