Godfather: Liger director Puri Jagannadh joins Chiranjeevi on the sets of the film, to play a special role

Chiranjeevi's next film, Godfather is one of the most anticipated films of the year as the makers are roping in the best from the industry for the movie. After Salman Khan, it is now Liger director, Puri Jagannadh who has joined the cast of the movie. He will be seen playing a special role in it. The makers and Chiranjeevi had shared a few images from the sets of the movie, welcoming him with a heartfelt note. The images have gone viral on the internet.

The megastar can be seen welcoming Jagannadh with a bouquet of flowers. Chiranjeevi is seen in the clothes of a prisoner while Jagannadh is seen in a black t-shirt. He wrote a note in Telugu where he talks about how Jagannadh, a boy from Narsipatnam came all the way to Hyderabad to become an actor. Check out the tweet here:

The shoot for Godfather is going on rigorously with actors completing their respective portions in the film. Salman Khan, who plays a cameo in the movie, recently finished his 15-day schedule with Chiranjeevi. In a press conference earlier, the actor had said that it was a wonderful experience working with Chiranjeevi and that he is excited about the film.

The political drama stars Nayanthara as the female lead. It also features Satyadev Kancharana in a pivotal role. Godfather is the official remake of Mohanlal's hit Malayalam film, Lucifer. Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, the 2019 movie also stars Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi and Shaun Romy, among others.

Meanwhile, Godfather is directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Music for the film is composed by S Thaman.
