Godfather: Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara's political drama wraps up Hyderabad schedule

The director Mohan Raja expressed his happiness on associating with Nayanthara for the third consecutive time recently

Chiranjeevi's 153rd film, Godfather, is being directed by Mohan Raja and produced under Konidela Productions and Super Good Films. The Telugu remake of Mohanlal's smash hit Lucifer, Godfather, is progressing at a brisk pace and the team recently wrapped its Hyderabad schedule. Several actors from the film including its female lead Nayanthara, Satyadev Kancharana, Sunil among others were part of it.

It’s nothing less than sheer joy n satisfaction working with her for the consecutive third time. #Thanioruvan #Velaikkaran #Godfather," the director Mohan Raja tweeted in praise of Nayanthara yesterday. As mentioned in the tweet, Godfather is his third consecutive collaboration with the actress after Thani Oruvan and Velaikkaran.

Chiranjeevi will reprise the role of Mohanlal, who played an unlikely kingmaker in Lucifer, but the makers have drafted an entirely different screenplay for the Telugu version to suit the sensibilities of a different audience. The top notch technical team comprises cinematographer Nirav Shah, in-form composer S Thaman and art director Suresh Selvarajan (who was associated with some of the biggest Hindi film blockbusters over the years).

Jointly produced by RB Choudary and NV Prasad, Konidela Surekha is the presenter of the same. Actor Salman Khan will be appearing in a special song for the film while Biju Menon will also be playing a crucial role in it.
