The trailer of Ghost does not reveal much about the plot, but establishes that the film will be high on action.
Actor-filmmaker MG Srinivas has dropped enough hints about what his film with Century Star Ghost is going to like. “It’s an action heist thriller based on a true story, with no extra frills and is just a tad over 2 hours in length. Shivarajkumar’s gangster avatar is only about 20% of the narrative, with most of it taking place in a jail, in a 48-hour time frame,” he had said at different time points and that’s what we know so far. We’ve also seen what Shivarajkumar’s gangster bit is like with the Big Daddy teaser and that looked quite exciting. Naturally, it upped the intrigue surrounding the trailer of Ghost and what the tone of the film is going to be like.
Ghost trailer: Shivarajkumar to lead 100-hour social media promotion
Released by SS Rajamouli, Dhanush and Prithviraj in the Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions, the trailer dropped at 11 am and showed audiences that they are in for an adrenaline rush with high-octane kick-ass action. Why has Ghost decided to take a prison hostage, when he could have gone for any other low-security establishment? That seems to be the plot driver. The trailer also provides a glimpse of the Century Star’s digital ageing and that looks quite satisfactory. Some of the shots in the trailer are repetitive from the Big Daddy teaser and it seems that director MG Srinivas’ aim was to show as little of the plot as possible and instead focus on the more thrilling elements and, of course, Shivarajkumar’s undeniable swag.
Shivarajkumar’s Ghost will be the foundation of the Srinivas Cinematic Universe
Ghost, produced by Sandesh Nagaraj’s Sandesh Productions, also stars Anupam Kher, Archana Jois and Jayaram in pivotal roles. The film has music by Arjun Janya and will be in theatres on October 19 . The team has tied up with Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios for the film’s Hindi distribution.
