Ghost actor Shiva Rajkumar joins the cast of Rohith Padaki's gangster drama Uttarakaanda

Shiva Rajkumar joins the cast of 'Uttarakaanda'

Rohit Padaki's Uttarakaanda has just added to its cast and it's none other than the Century Star Shiva Rajkumar. OTTplay had previously reported that the senior actor was possibly one of the 'secret' cast members of the ambitious project and confirming the same, KRG Studios confirmed the actor's inclusion in the project.

Uttarakaanda will be a two-part project centred around the crime and 'gang wars' in North Karnataka with Daali Dhananjaya headlining the cast. Rohit Padaki directs the film with Sandalwood Queen Ramya also part of the cast and KRG Studios producing the film(s). This would be the second collaboration featuring KRG, Rohit Padaki and Dhananjaya after Rathnan Prapancha, which was a straight-to-OTT release in 2021.

The first-look teaser of Uttarakaada, which was released earlier this year in August, offered a taste of the vibrant world that the team is putting together. One of the highlights of the teaser is the quintessence of the region which is best felt in the usage of one-liners and its trademark profanities. Dhananjaya plays a colourful character named Gabru Sathya which was duly introduced in the video teaser.

Ramya, in the same vein, will mark her comeback as an actor with Uttarakaanda and can be expected to be seen in a rather enterprising role. In a special video that was released of the launch of the project, Ramya was heard speaking the dialect of North Karnataka with some finesse and it would certainly be interesting to see the impact she has on this final film.
