Ghani trailer: Varun Tej’s sports drama gets aha trailer ahead of digital release

Varun Tej’s Ghani, directed by Kiran Korrapati came with a lot of expectations. The sports drama could not live up to the hype and eventually accepted defeat at the box office. Aha has released a new trailer for the movie ahead of its digital release.

The trailer starts off at a boxing ring as it makes its way into the personal life of the protagonist. Following problems with his family regarding boxing, he can be seen romancing Saiee Manjrekar’s female lead.

The trailer also offers a look into the boxing action the movie provides, as well as some of the intense training the actor has put in for the movie. The trailer confirms that the movie will start streaming on the platform from April 22.

Earlier this month, Varun Tej took to social media to accept the defeat the movie has suffered in the box office. In a graceful and class move, the actor thanked everyone involved in making the movie, but accepted that it had failed to translate with the audience.

Bankrolled by Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby under the banners of Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company, the movie is directed by Kiran Korrapati. The movie also features Naveen Chandra, Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, Suneil Shetty, Nadhiya and Upendra, among others in important roles.

After impressing the fans with its trailers and songs, the movie hit theatres on April 8. It received negative reviews following its release, with fans now accepting its predictable storyline.

“There's nothing original or breathtaking about Ghani. It doesn't rise above the cliches of a regular sports drama - the writing is weak and the performances are mechanical, passionless.” reads the movie’s review on OTTplay.
