After watching Thalapathy Vijay's Leo during the dubbing process, Gautham Menon showered it with praises.
Filmmaker Gautham Menon has become one of the most sought-after actors across the South Indian film industry. Besides continuing to retain his top position as a director, he is also acting in many movies by other directors. One such movie is Leo, which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role.
Leo is one of the biggest movie events of 2023. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is getting ready to release in cinemas. "It's a Thalathay's film. Lokesh Kanagaraj. It's a mind-blowing film. I saw the scenes I had to dub for and they have come out superbly," Gautham told the fans at an event.
Gautham Menon almost rejected Leo
It's noteworthy that Gautham was initially reluctant to join the cast of Leo. However, he finally agreed to do the role due to his admiration for Lokesh and his persistence.
"He (Lokesh) asked me for Vikram, but I couldn't do it. He told me, 'sir, you're the first person I am calling you right after signing this movie. You are playing a very important character in this movie," Gautham had said earlier.
Even though Leo boasts of a star-studded supporting cast, it's said Gautham has played a very important role and his character's journey is closely associated with the protagonist, played by Vijay.
Speculations are rife that Gautham is essaying a cop role in the movie. However, the filmmakers have not yet revealed the details of his character.
Besides Vijay and Gautham, the movie also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Mansoor Ali Khan. The movie is getting ready to hit the worldwide screens on October 19.
