The movie's first promo was revealed more than six years ago,
Gautham Menon and Vikram
It is known that Gautham Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram has been lying in the cans for a few years. The movie's first promo was revealed more than six years ago. The Vikram-starrer features an ensemble cast, including Simran, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ritu Varma and Parthiban among others.
There was no news about the project for quite some time. A few months ago, it was heard that the team kicked off shooting its pending portions and that there are possibilities for it to hit screens in July. Gautham has now spilled the beans on what delayed the film and his plans regarding its release.
The director said that he has been busy with the pending works of the movie for the last five months and that cinephiles can expect its release in less than two months. He is also likely to begin shooting his next project in August.
On releasing the project after a few years of making, he says, "It is a tricky situation when a film you made hits screens after a few years' hiatus. I analyzed what the problem was; it was nothing, but the fact that I was working with the wrong set of people."
He added that he has altered a few things and that Dhruva Natchathiram is on the right track now. Gautham himself is the producer now and hopes that the movie meets the huge expectations of people. The filmmaker was supposed to do a sequel to his previous outing Venthu Thaninthathu Kaadu.

It isn't sure whether the Silambarasan-starrer is going to be his next project. He had revealed a while ago that he has plans to make a second part to Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, too.
