Ram Pothineni, who was last seen in Lingusamy's bilingual flick The Warriorr, is set to team up with Gautham Menon. The latter confirmed the same during a media interaction. The untitled project is likely to take off in the next year.

The filmmaker's latest movie Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has hit the screens today; the film will be released in Telugu under the title Life of Muthu. The Tollywood version of the gangster drama is being presented by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore of Sravanthi Movies. Interestingly, the producer will be bankrolling Gautham-Ram's film.

Ram is currently busy with Boyapati Srinu's untitled project. Tipped as an action flick, the film will release in theatres in 2023. This is the first time Gautham will be working with Ram. He has earlier collaborated with Telugu stars like Venkatesh, Naga Chaitanya and Nani for Tollywood remakes of his notable Tamil movies.

The director is busy writing the script for a sequel to his 2006 movie Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu starring Kamal Haasan in the lead. He had recently revealed that he is on the verge of completing the script and that the film might go on floors as soon as he gets a nod from Kamal.

Though there were speculation on Gautham and Ram teaming up recently, it wasn't confirmed until the former himself came up with a clarification on it recently. Movie buffs are eager to know if their collaboration would be a bilingual to be made in Tamil and Telugu.

Meanwhile, Gautham's Vikram-starrer Dhruva Natchathiram and Varun-starrer Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha are still lying in cans. Despite news coming up at regular intervals on the films' possibility of hitting the screens soon, there seems to be no progress on their release update.
