Gaurav Gera was a part of Zee5's show BOSS: Baap of Special Services.
Actor-comedian Gaurav Gera, who has gained popularity with his YouTube shows, was all praise for OTT platforms in a recent interview. The actor compared working on web shows to working on a daily soap.
In the interview with Republic World, he said that he preferred working for a web show as it’s smoother “because the script does not change every day”. He further added that’s also why OTT has more scope for improvement.
The actor, who had worked in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin also observed that OTT has a greater chance of making a script that would be loved by a bigger audience as it has to be scripted only once unlike daily TV series.
Gera also explained that he is now addicted to OTTs platforms due to the variety of content on offer and has been watching Korean and Turkish movies. “I watch a lot of stuff on OTT now including foreign content. I think a lot of people are doing fantastic work. So, I am very happy with the way things are shaping up now,” he said.
Gera had made his digital debut with Zee5’s original show BOSS: Baap Of Special Services, which is an action-drama that has Karan Singh Grover and Sagarika Ghatge in the lead. He reprised his popular character Chutki and also played the role of Grover’s friend Jignesh on the show.
