Alia Bhatt reveals the Allu Arjun connect in Gangubai Kathiawadi

Alia Bhatt has been on roll this year after two of her films gained the most highlight in the cinema industry such as the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi and SS Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR. Recently during one of her earlier interviews, the Bollywood diva mentioned that her character Gangu from the recent biographical film has a lot of swag, right from the way she walks, which was inspired by Allu Arjun's Pushpa. Although she felt that her own style of walking is like a duck.'

In an interview with India Today, the actress unveiled how she came up with the swag walking style as Gangubai and said that she wanted to change her walking style after coming across one of the interesting videos on a social media site.

She also said that after watching the video she realised that she walks strangely like a duck and she need to make it interesting. "When I watched Pushpa. I was just taken in by Allu Arjun’s inherent swag. Swag has to be felt. It should be recognised as a talent," Alia added.

Gangubai Kathiawadi was released in February this year and crossed the mark of Rs 200 crore at the box office globally. Meanwhile, RRR, the pan-Indian film that has been considered a hit on its opening day itself is still going strong and has already earned Rs 900 crore all over the world.

Alia is now gearing up for the Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra opposite her beau Ranbir Kapoor. The upcoming superhero flick also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles. The highly anticipated movie is all set to release on September 9 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages in 3D, and IMAX 3D

Meanwhile, Alia is busy with her forthcoming ventures such as Darlings and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
