Game of Thrones star Hafþór “Thor” Júlíus Björnsson with a heavy heart shared the news of losing his child with his wife Kelsey Henson. The couple took to social media to express the “unbearable pain” of stillborn birth that the family had to experience due to the miscarriage.

Mountain Man, along with his wife Kelsey Henson shared their grief in a joint Instagram post on November 10 revealing the unexpected stillbirth of his daughter Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir who arrived in the world on November 8 at 21 and a half weeks gestation period.

In a carousel of pictures from the hospital, the 34-year-old actor shared the complexities that arrived during the pregnancy of his wife. He wrote in the caption, “It is with great sorrow that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir born Nov 8th at 21 1/2 weeks gestation. Words cannot describe our pain of this loss or our happiness at being able to spend time with our daughter. She is absolutely beautiful, with blonde lashes and brows and a little smile for mom and dad.”

Unbearable pain and grief by the Thor family

The muscular actor and athlete shares a son with Kelsey and the duo were experiencing parenthood again with their second baby. He shared how his joys turned into dark sorrows after losing his precious baby girl.

Being hopeful in the troubled times, the professional strongman continued his caption and said, "The love we feel for her is overwhelming. The grief we feel will be with us forever but so will the love. All of our hopes and dreams for her have been taken away from us but I know I will be with her again. Her spirit lives on through us and her siblings. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time as we grieve this unbearable loss. Thank you all for any kind words and support.”

In one of the pictures, their son Stormur (3), is sitting alongside his mother and holding baby Grace.

The couple in October announced the cute addition to their family as they shared a carousel of pictures on their social media account. The duo tied the knot in 2018.
