Darren Kent, most known for his role as a goatherder in Game of Thrones has passed away at the age of 39. Carey Dodd Associates, his London-based agency, confirmed the news on social media early on Tuesday:

Their statement stated that they regret informing people that their beloved client and friend, Darren Kent, died last Friday. His family and his best friend were all there to support him. In this time of sorrow, please know that people have his family in their thoughts and prayers.

The agency also wrote on their Instagram page that Darren was not only a talented actor, director, and writer; he was truly one of the kindest people they had ever had the pleasure of meeting. Being a part of his journey has been an honour and a delight for them.

Samantha Dodd, speaking with CNN, confirmed Kent's age at the time of his death, and there was no mention of the cause of his death.

Screenwriter Jane Gull also penned a heartfelt note on her X page stating, "What a privilege it was to be your friend and to work together on so many projects over the years. Life won’t be the same without you. I will miss you so much. RIP, darling Darren Kent xxxx."
