Game Changer Tamil Nadu release in trouble due to Shankar’s Indian 3? Find out

The Tamil Nadu release of Ram Charan’s Game Changer is reportedly in trouble after Lyca Productions, the makers of Shankar’s other project Indian 3, made a move against the director.

Game Changer, the Ram Charan starrer directed by Shankar, is gearing up for a release on January 10, 2024. However, the Tamil Nadu release of the long-delayed film is reportedly in trouble, after Lyca Productions, the production banner which bankrolls Shankar’s other project, Indian 3 filed a complaint at the Producers’ Council. Reportedly, the producers have demanded that Game Changer should not be released in Tamil Nadu, until the filmmaker completes the long-delayed Kamal Haasan starrer, Indian 3.

Indian 3 producer against Game Changer Tamil Nadu release

According to the latest reports by Sun News, Lyca Productions has filed a complaint at the Tamil Nadu Producers’ Council, to put the Game Changer release in the state on hold. In their complaint, Indian 3 producers stated that Shankar should not be allowed to release the Ram Charan starrer in Tamil Nadu until the director finishes the work of the Kamal Haasan starrer. This new move by Lyca Productions suggests that things are not well between the Indian 3 makers, and the veteran director.

What went wrong with Indian 3?

As per the recent updates, Shankar is yet to finish the filming and post-production of Indian 3, which is the third installment of the Indian franchise. The rumour mills suggest that the filmmaker is yet to finish the portions and a song sequence, featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Siddarth, and Rakul Preet Singh, in the film. Reportedly, Shankar decided to get involved with the pending works of Ram Charan’s Game Changer after the release of Indian 2. The producer, who were devastated by the massive failure of Kamal Haasan’s film, is reportedly irked with the senior filmmaker’s choices.

Reportedly, director Shankar, and Lyca Productions are trying to solve the issues, amicably. However, it is yet to be revealed, if Game Changer will have a peaceful release in Tamil Nadu, as expected earlier. When it comes to Indian 3, the pending portions of Kamal Haasan’s film are expected to be filmed soon after the release of Ram Charan’s film. However, it is yet to be revealed if the film will hit the theatres this year, as the director claimed in recent interviews.
