Ram Charan in Game Changer
Director S Shankar and Ram Charan’s long-awaited political action thriller Game Changer is easily one of the most anticipated big-budgeted films of 2024. Although makers have been tight-lipped about the film’s premise, a leaked storyline of the film has created a huge buzz among fans! According to few Telugu reports, the film revolves around Ram Charan’s character who plays the role of IAS Ram Nandan, who upends the political moves of Srikanth, SJ Surya, and Naveen Chandra. The hype around the film has doubled with the revelation that Ram Charan will be portraying a dual role in the movie.
Dual role of father-son for Ram Charan in Game Changer?
It is speculated that one of Ram Charan’s characters, called Appanna, will be a common yet honourable man who establishes a political organisation for his community. But then his successor, played by SJ Surya, betrays him, and so does his close friend Srikanth. Nothing much is known about the characters played by SJ Surya and Naveen Chandra, which adds to the intrigue surrounding the story.

Ram Charan’s younger character plays Appanna's son, who becomes an election officer, taking down these corrupt figures who exploit the public. These new revelations, that promise an engaging storyline with unexpected twists, have made fans go gaga over the upcoming political thriller.

Director Karthik Subbaraj about why he did not direct Game Changer
Director-writer Karthik Subbaraj, who has penned the script of the film, had earlier revealed that Game Changer is fully based on a political story. He had also explained that a film required a big figure to fulfil its obligations, not just on the acting front, but also in the director's chair. Hence, the director went with the script to Shankar who came on board as the director. The Jigarthanda DoubleX director further revealed that while he may have scripted the story for Game Changer, it was S Shankar who came up with the detailed screenplay for it.
