Game Changer: A wave of negative reviews has gone viral for the Ram Charan starrer. The political thriller has taken a solid start, but these reviews have affected the occupancy.
Game Changer negative reviews upset the makers
Game Changer is now out and has taken a strong start at the box office. Recently, the makers revealed that the film grossed close to Rs 186 crore on its release day. However, social media tells a different story, as fan wars are raging across platforms. Several posts claim that the figures shared by the makers are inflated, suggesting the film didn’t even make half of the reported amount.
Fans of other stars, often referred to as "anti-fans," have been spreading videos of reviewers criticizing the film. In addition, the hashtag #GlobalFraudRamCharan has been trending online. Sources close to the team have revealed that both the director and Ram Charan are deeply upset with these negative reviews.
While audiences, who are actually watching the film, are praising Shankar's simple and neat narration, the online scenario seems different. The negative posts and reviews are creating a toxic environment, which has reportedly impacted theater occupancy in several areas.

One particular video showing Ram Charan sitting alone at the trailer launch is being circulated, falsely claiming that he was upset after watching the film. However, this is an old video unrelated to the current situation. Numerous such posts and videos, circulated by anti-fans, aim to damage the film's reputation.
Despite the negativity, Game Changer is expected to maintain its collections during the Sankranthi festival period. Directed by Shankar, the film is a political thriller produced by Dil Raju with a massive budget of Rs. 400 crore. The music, composed by Thaman, has received praise, especially the background score, which has been appreciated by many.
To break even in the Telangana region, the film needs to earn at least Rs. 40 crore. Though the initial collections are promising, the negative reviews are undeniably affecting its momentum. On a positive note, several celebrities, including Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan's wife Upasana, and others from the industry, have lauded Ram Charan's performance and openly supported the film.
With Daaku Maharaaj releasing today and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam slated for release on January 14, 2025, these films could pose a challenge to Game Changer. It remains to be seen how the film performs in the coming days under this pressure and whether it can emerge as a success at the box office.
