Patty Jenkins shared her excitement on Wonder Woman threequel at the DC FanDome.
At the recently concluded DC FanDome, filmmaker Patty Jenkins who has helmed the Wonder Woman franchise announced the threequel of the film. After Wonder Woman (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), the third instalment is in the works confirmed the helmer. In the third part, Gal Gadot will be reprising her titular role as Diana Prince. As per reports in the Deadline, Jenkins even shared her excitement on directing the third instalment.
The filmmaker told the media at the event, "We're super excited about Wonder Woman 3. Gal (Gadot), who is so bummed about not being here, who's the busiest person in the world, with now three little kids and shooting."
Jenkins also said that Gal, Lynda Carter and herself are very excited about some things which are coming up with Wonder Woman 3.
Wonder Woman 1984 hit the big screens in December 2020, amid the coronavirus pandemic. This affected the box office business of the film very badly. However, the film also had a simultaneous OTT release on HBO MAx along with the theatrical outing.
In August 2020, at the CinemaCon, Jenkins had called the decision as to the best choice in a bunch of bad choices.
Earlier, while describing Diana and Wonder Woman, Gal had said that she is relatable and has the heart of a human. She further shared that her character is very compassionate, but her experiences or lack of them and her naivete make her interested in everything around her. The actor added that Diana can view the world in a way that all of us would like to with genuine curiosity.
Gal said that she feels very privileged that she got the opportunity to portray such an iconic and strong female character. The actor adores this character and everything that she stands for, also everything that she symbolizes.
