The team of KGF has treated its many million fans to a special video song on the occasion of International Mother's Day. The video version of the Gagana Nee track from KGF: Chapter 2, which features Archana Jois, was released earlier today at 1 pm as a tribute to all motherhood - the same sentiment runs strong in the narrative of both KGF movies.
Sung by Suchetha Basrur and composed by Ravi Basrur, Gagana Nee feature Kinnal Raj's lyrics that encapsulate the strength of the bond between Yash and Archana Jois' characters in the film. Archana Jois essays the role of Shanthi or Shanthamma in the K.G.F films who, as Rocky Bhai's mother, instills the faith and determination in her son to take over the world before her unprecedented death. The mother-son track echoes strongly throughout the narrative in the form of flashbacks and the Gagana Nee comes at a similar pivotal point in Chapter 2, featuring the very popular Thandaani Naane Thanithandaano verse.
The video version of the track was simultaneously released in Telugu (Yadagara Yadagara), Hindi (Falak Tu Garaj Tu), Tamil (Agilam Nee), and Malayalam (Gaganam Nee). Hombale Films also penned an endearing note dedicated to all the mothers on social media before the song's release.
"The World is her territory. Happy Mothers' Day to All. The promise will always be kept!" read the tweet.
Director Prashanth Neel too took to social media a short while ago to send out Mother's Day wishes to everyone. "Happy Mother’s Day to all the true warriors in the world!" read his tweet.
K.G.F: Chapter 2, on the other hand, has rewritten history with its monumental box office performance. Having set several records practically in every version, the film's found itself a place in all-time glory by becoming the second highest-grossing film in India. The Hindi dubbed version of K.G.F: Chapter 2 surpassed the likes of 'War' to become the biggest opener and has recently gone past Dangal's collections in the Hindi belt. The original Kannada version too secured the best opening day collections on April 14th to beat James.
