Sunny Deol is currently promoting his much-awaited film, Gadar 2. The movie is generating a lot of hype. Fans can't wait to watch their favourite Tara Singh and Sakina on a big screen after many years. In one of the promotional outings, the debate against nepotism in Bollywood sparked once again. The renowned actor Dharmendra's son, Sunny Deol, claimed in an interview that without his father, he never would have been an actor.
In an interview with Aaj Tak, when Sunny was asked, “If Dharam ji was not an actor, where would you be today?” To this, the Apne star said, “I don’t know, wherever my father would be working, maybe I too would be working there.”
Further, he spoke about nepotism. He said that what is wrong with a father doing something for his children? Sunny Deol also said that hate and nepotism is being spread by frustrated people. He said, “One has to understand that in a family, the child follows and imitates what his father does. The hate and nepotism is being spread by those people who are frustrated. What’s wrong if a father wants to do something for his son or daughter? If not his family, then who is the father working for?”

The actor added, “The success eventually will depend on the individual person. My father could not get into me to make me an actor. I cannot get into my sons to make them an actor… Papa is such a big icon and I made my identity and I am here. I am not like my dad, but we are very similar. Of course there were difficulties, but I never thought of them as difficulties.”
Meanwhile, Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma is going to release on August 11. The film will clash with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 at the box office.
