Gadar 2 OTT release date: When and where to watch Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel's period drama online; CONFIRMED details inside

It's been more than a month since Gadar 2 hit the big screen. However, that hasn't stopped the audience from still thronging to theatres and watching the film there. But if you are waiting for the film to stream on OTT, then the wait is not much longer. Yes, Gadar 2 will premiere on ZEE5 on October 6, 2023. The Anil Sharma-directed film stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma in the lead roles and is set for its OTT premiere about a month later.

About Gadar 2:

After 22 years, Tara, Sakeena, and Jeete, India's most beloved family, return in Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. In this sequel, set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Tara Singh must once again confront any and all foes in order to defend the honour of his country and his family.

Box office triumph:

On August 11, 2023, Gadar 2 was released in theatres, and it went on to become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2023 and the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023, with a global total of over Rs. 550 crore. It also moved into the top ten of the all-time highest-grossing Hindi films.

The film also featured Manish Wadhwa, Luv Sinha, and Simrat Kaur in supporting roles.

Gadar 2 also marked the reunion of Utkarsh with Sunny and Ameesh after two decades, as he played their onscreen son in the first installment too.

Gadar 3?

The epilogue reveals "To be continued" as the final line in Gadar 2. This led to speculation that a third installment in the film series was in the works. Later, Deol affirmed that Gadar 3 would be made, though he said he didn't know when filming would begin.

Streaming of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha

Intrestingly, the 4K version of the 2001 release, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha is currently streaming on ZEE5, after a brief theatrical run earlier this year.
