Despite sharing screens with a relatively big movie OMG 2, the numbers of Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 are increasing.

The Indian box office run for Anil Sharma's Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, starring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma is extraordinary. After making Rs 20 crores on the second Friday, the second Saturday's figures are astounding. On day 9, the Sunny Deol starrer action movie made between Rs 32 crores, bringing the grand total to ₹336.13 crores nett. Despite sharing screens with a relatively big movie OMG 2, the numbers are increasing.

Gadar 2: The Katha Continues set new all-time records if it performs just as well during the coming week as it did over the second weekend. The film is one of the most financially successful movies in movie history because it was produced for only about Rs 80 crores, as opposed to other record grossers that had enormous budgets. Regardless of whether it breaks all-time lifetime records or not, the movie is considered an all-time blockbuster.

Yesterday, Sunny Deol took to his social media account and shared a heartfelt post on the completion of 300 crores at the box office. Sharing a picture of himself with a cake featuring the poster of the film, Sunny wrote: "They say Love can’t be measured but I feel so much love coming from all of you each day, everyday ❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Gadar 2, which Anil Sharma directed, is a follow-up to the popular 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma have all returned to play Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete in the sequel. Last week saw the movie's theatrical debut. At the box office, it competed with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 and Rajinikanth's Jailer.
