Gadar 2: Anil Sharma says Ameesha Patel is ‘bade ghar ki bitiya’; here's why

Despite Gadar 2 minting over Rs 400 crores at the box office, rumours are rife that all is not well between the film director, Anil Sharma, and the film’s leading actress Ameesha Patel. Earlier, just days before the release of the film on August 11, Ameesha Patel slammed the makers of the movie for improper management of talent on the set of the movie.

Ameesha had claimed in a series of long Twitter posts that Anil Sharma and his production house have not paid the dues of several actors on the set of the film. In response to such allegations, Anil Sharma has broken his silence on the matter and said to Bollywood Hungama, “Mera rishta kabhi kisi ke sath kharab nahi hota. Tu-tu-main-main bhi hui, theek bhi ho gayi. Ameesha ji ka nature aise hi hai. Pichli Gadar ke dauraan unse meeting ke dauraan tu-tu-main-main ho gayi thi. Woh bade ghar ki bitiya hain, unke mizaaj thode bade hain, magar dil ki buri nahi hain, dil ki achhi hai.

(My relationship has never deteriorated with anyone. A few misunderstandings have happened in the past, but they have been resolved as well. Ameesha ji’s nature is similar to this statement of mine. Previously, when we worked together to create Gadar, we had a few misunderstandings. She belongs to a rich family, and she has different tastes. But she is not a bad person by heart. She is a good human being.)”

Anil Sharma even opined that, unlike other actors, Ameesha Patel has several flaws as an actress. Anil goes on to add that Ameesha took a training of about six months to ace her role in the 2001 movie, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.

Well, only time will tell how the relationship between the two professionals will develop in the coming days.
