Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, is almost about to be released in theatres after a significant amount of buildup and expectation. The audience gave a favourable reaction to the remastered version of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, which was made available to the public in June of this year.

Ameesha, who plays Sakina in the film, recently brought up the lack of clean and family-friendly cinema in the modern era in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. She expressed concern about the lack of films suitable for all generations as well as explicit content on OTT platforms.

She described how the audience is starved for good films that are appropriate for the whole family. There doesn't appear to be as much focus on taking the whole family to the movies anymore as there was back in the days when Bollywood was a source of inspiration for both clothing and music. In contrast to the family-friendly atmosphere of traditional Bollywood, the content that can be found on OTT platforms frequently includes coarse language and scenes that call for the supervision of an adult.

She went on to say that films like Gadar 2 try to bring back that essence by connecting with the previous part and keeping its family values, heart-wrenching moments, action, dialogues, and music. This is something that she further elaborated on. It is hoped that the audience will continue to enjoy and support the film in the same way that they did with the first one.

For those who aren't aware, the highly anticipated sequel, Gadar 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on August 11. It is anticipated that the film will compete at the box office with Akshay Kumar's OMG 2.

Ameesha also returns to the movies after a very long time with Gadar 2. The actor was last seen in Bhaiyaji Superhit which released in 2018.
