Iglesias is in his 27th year as a comedian and holds the distinction of being one of the highest grossing on the circuit, as well as of being one of the most watched on YouTube. Early in the year, there were reports that he was considering retirement, after the sold-out Stadium Fluffy show. Following the super-successful show, he contemplated hanging up his boots.

He addressed these thoughts in a video on YouTube, saying, that he thought about retiring right after. “That was an actual thought in a conversation, just because it’s like, ‘ok what do you do now?’...I’ve still got some gas left in the tank, and I still love what I do, but it sucks to be able to say that you saw your peak. Like, I jumped the shark. What do you do now? Like, I’ve got to get a phone call from Elon Musk saying, ‘hey, do you want to do 5 minutes in space?’” said Iglesias.

At the time, his ongoing Don’t Worry Be Fluffy tour was expected to be his last. The Legend of Fluffy was taped during this tour. With one more special as a deliverable, it looks like the comedian does still have some gas in the tank.
