Director Vidyadhar Kagita on Gaami - Gaami is all set to hit the screens on March 8, 2024, alongside Gopichand's Bhimaa. The Vishwak Sen-starrer has been in the making for over six years now and is finally seeing its release. Vidhyadhar Kagita directed this film and he spoke his heart out at the pre-release event which was held last night in Hyderabad.

After watching the trailer of Gaami, a section of the audience posted on social media that the concept was a bit hard to understand and the proceedings were a bit unclear. Speaking about the same, Vidyadhar says that he has seen these comments but all those doubts will be cleared when they watch the film on the big screen. "Even a layman can understand the basic story and concept in the film. It is a simple story told neatly. Just to create curiosity, we have cut the trailer in such a manner," said Vidyadhar.

Chandini Chowdary plays the female lead in the film and she has gone through hell while shooting Gaami says the director. "Chandini was the only lady in the crew. We shot at extreme locations and she is the one who suffered the most as she could not even use the restroom," says Vidyadhar.

Gaami has been shot in extreme conditions and the director traveled with the film for close to nine years. "Gaami is my dream project and the visuals will blow your mind. I worked hard on the film and will give a great experience in the theatres" ended Vidyadhar Kagita. The young director was also asked about a sequel to the film and Vidyadhar mentioned that he has no intentions to make a sequel.

Gaami OTT rights details

Vishwak Sen will be seen as an Aghora in the film which has been backed by UV Creations, the home banner of Prabhas. He has not charged any remuneration and will take a share in the profits as per the news. The OTT rights to the film have also been locked and Zee 5 has bagged the rights. We need to see if the film lives up to the hype created or not. Watch this space for more.
