Fukrey 3 box office report day 3: Comedy film heads towards Rs. 50 crore extended weekend

The film, starring Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha, and Pankaj Tripathi, was released on Thursday, which was a partial holiday.

As predicted, Fukrey 3 experiences remarkable development on Day 3 by reaching double digits, further solidifying its position. With a good showing on Sunday and Monday, the film should make at least Rs. 50 crore during the long weekend. On Thursday, it made Rs. 8.82 crore, on Friday, Rs. 7.81 crore, and on Saturday, Rs. 11.67 crore, for a total of Rs. 28.30 crore.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on his X page, "Fukrey 3 as expected, witnesses excellent growth on Day 3 and hits double digits to consolidate and cement its status. Double digits on Sunday and Monday should ensure a Rs. 50 crore extended weekend, which would be a fantastic score. Thursday: Rs. 8.82 crore; Friday: Rs. 7.81 crore; Saturday: Rs. 11.67 crore. Total: Rs. 28.30 crore. (sic)"

Impact of long weekend:

As per reports in Pinkvilla, in the major cities, national multiplex chains account for 60% of box office receipts. On Sunday, due to the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, business for Fukrey 3 is expected to increase dramatically and remain in the double digits on Monday as well. The comedy is projected to earn around Rs 50 crore in its first five days, after which the fate of its long-term success will rest on a single test on Tuesday.

A long holiday weekend of Rs 60 crore would have guaranteed a Rs 100 crore finish, so while the figures are nice for Fukrey they could have been better. The film's modest budget and serviceable cast ensure its commercial success, but there was room for improvement of around 20%.

Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directed, and Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani produced the comedy Fukrey 3 under the Excel Entertainment brand. This movie follows 2017's Fukrey Returns as the third in the Fukrey series. Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, Richa Chadha, and Pankaj Tripathi are among the stars who feature in the third instalment, while Ali Fazal is no longer a part of the film.
